Manchester United are serious about bringing Wesley Sneijder to England. They have tabled a £29 million bid for the Internazionale playmaker, according to the Daily Mail.
However, United will face tough opposition from Sneijder’s club who absolutely don’t want to lose the Dutch World Cup star.
Inter already expressed their desire to keep the attacking midfielder by offering him a two-year contract extension.
“Wesley could stay on until 2015,” Sneijder’s agent Soren Lerby said yesterday.
“After the World Cup we will head to Milan and sit down to speak with the directors.”
Sneijder has an impressive World Cup display so far, already scoring five goals for the Netherlands, who have reached the final in South Africa.
